R v W


W was one of a number of people charged with murder.  While other people were found guilty at trial, Ben successfully defended W.  W was found not guilty. 


R v K



K was one of a number of people charged with murder. The prosecution opposed bail. Ben persuaded the Court to grant K bail, with conditions that allowed K to get on with his life.

R v S


S had committed a violence offence and faced deportation. Ben persuaded the Court to discharge S without conviction, which meant S was not deported.


R v S


S was charged with supplying methamphetamine. The prosecution opposed bail. Ben persuaded the Court to grant bail on flexible conditions that allowed S to keep running their company.

R v C


C was charged with rape.  Ben engaged a computer expert to challenge the Crown's evidence at trial. C was found not not guilty. 


R v B


B was charged with murder. He was granted bail, but breached the conditions of his bail. Ben persuaded the Court to grant B further bail.


R v M


M was charged with attempted murder and other violence charges. Ben persuaded the prosecutor to significantly reduce the charges, resulting in a much shorter sentence. 

R v M


M was charged after a complaint by a violent, obsessive neighbour. Ben persuaded the prosecution that the charges were not in the public interest, and the charges were withdrawn.
